SENIOR STRETCH

NEW & IMPROVED!
Senior Stretch—Reorganized and Revitalized!

Beginning November 1st, Senior Stretch will begin a new era of exercise and fun! Paid staff will lead the stretch class on Monday and Thursday mornings from 9-9:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center Gym. Stretchers of all ages are welcome to join this group. Exercises are done standing and sitting, with and without weights. Exercises, which work on strength and flexibility, are easy on the back and safe for those who may have certain physical restrictions.

NEW! A quarterly breakfast will take place in the Ladies Memorial Room (#131) on the first Monday of each quarter beginning January 7th, 2008.

All stretchers and friends will gather for refreshments and fellowship! NO registration is required! Join us on November 1st to begin a new era of stretching and fun! Hope to see you there!
 

CENTURY WALKERS CLUB

Fee: $20

Make your laps count!  Accumulate miles you walk on the Family Life Center walking track and earn awards as you walk!  After registering, participants record their miles each time they walk.  A staff member will recognize milestones as they are reached.  Awards include a t-shirt and dinners for two!  Walkers of all ages are welcome!

Lap after lap can become boring and mundane if you walk by yourself on the walking track of the Pasley Family Life Center. We have a solution! There are cassette tapes with players available for your use. The tapes will have devotional material and inspirational music for your listening pleasure. The laps will just fly by! See Kelly for a player and tape.

WEIGHT WATCHERS

Four Sessions!

Thursdays, 8:30 & 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 & 7:00 p.m.

Weigh-in begins thirty minutes before session with a lecture and new member orientation that follow.

MOTHER’S MORNING OUT

For children 6 months old through K-4

Tuition: $5 per child

Every Wednesday 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Take the morning off, Mom!  Leave your child with our experienced staff of moms and go to the grocery store, have breakfast with a friend, volunteer at your child’s school, or take a long , hot UNINTERRUPTED bath!  Indoor and outdoor activities are provided as well as gym-time.  Registration forms are available at the FLC registration desk.  Space is limited and weekly sign-up is required.  Call 867-4594 ext. 15.

OPEN GYM

For Church Members Only Following Wednesday Night Suppers

The gym will be open from 6:45 -7:15 p.m. for those who enjoy working off that “full” feeling after the Wednesday night suppers.  Come shoot some basketballs, kick around a soccer ball or just stand around and chat with friends while your children “run wild”!

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

Hate to have your house destroyed during a child’s birthday party?!  Rent our gymnasium and party room/kitchen for your child’s birthday party!  Equipment is available for roller skating, whiffleball, soccer, basketball and many other activities.  Playgrounds available for younger children. FACILITY RENTALS

We have five rooms of various sizes available for meeting space or other occasions, with a kitchen adjoining one of the rooms.  Ideal for bridal and baby showers, business meetings, family get-togethers, etc.  The gym is also available for basketball, or volleyball practices.  For fee information and room availability, please call Ext.15 or email kwest@winderfirstumc.com .

This facility was built in order to supplement, strengthen and complement the ministry of The First United Methodist Church by serving this congregation and the community in the name of our Lord. Our purpose is to provide motivating experiences that enable church members and community residents to maintain and improve their emotional, spiritual and physical health, and hope that you will feel welcome here. Registration Information

Classes are open to adults and children.
Registrations are accepted in the order in which they are received—no registrations will be accepted over the phone.
Checks should be made payable to Winder First United Methodist Church, and should accompany your registration.
Please record the starting date and time of your class on your calendar, as you will not be contacted prior to the beginning of your class or activity.

AFTER-SCHOOL

 PROGRAM

For Kindergarten thru Fifth Grade

Tuition:  $40 per child per week

($30 WFUMC member)

Registration Fee:  $20 per child

The FUMC After School Program is designed to provide a safe, relaxed and fun environment for school-age students who might otherwise be left at home unsupervised during the day. The program is open to all students who attend Kindergarten thru Eighth Grade. Activities include outdoor and indoor recreation, art, games, homework time and a snack. Program hours are 2:30 – 6:00 P.M., Monday – Friday, following the Barrow County school calendar for holidays. There is a $20 registration fee due with your application. Tuition for elementary ages is $40 per week for non-members, $30 for WFUMC members and $20 per week for each additional sibling. Tuition for middle school ages is $30 per week for non-members, $25 for WFUMC members and $15 per week for each additional sibling.
