We are a friendly congregation made up of a wide variety of people of all ages – newcomers and long timers.  Our common purpose is to encounter God in worship and to extend God’s love into the community.  We all grow spiritually when we gather to nurture our primary relationship – our relationship with God.

Worship is meant to be a joy! Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for humankind, and not humankind for the Sabbath.”  Church helps us recognize God’s grace in our lives and gives us opportunities to help usher in God’s will of love, justice, peace, and joy for all the world.

We have excellent nurseries and loving childcare providers here at Winder First United Methodist Church.  Our ministry to youth and children is a primary strength of our church and will continue to expand.
